Install Nexus Prover Node

Nexus is building a verifiable computation network. Run a Nexus Prover Node to contribute to the network and earn NEX Points.

1. Create an Account#

• Create an account (opens in a new tab)
• Follow the account linking instructions
• Your contributions will earn NEX Points
• Track your progress on the leaderboard
• Manage all your nodes in one place

2. Install Dependencies#

1sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade -y
2sudo apt install screen curl libssl-dev pkg-config build-essential git-all protobuf-compiler -y
3sudo apt update

Install Rust:

1curl --proto '=https' --tlsv1.2 -sSf https://sh.rustup.rs | sh
2source $HOME/.cargo/env

3. Run Prover#

Start a Screen Session#

screen -S nexus

Install and Run Prover#

curl https://cli.nexus.xyz/ | sh

4. Link Node#

1. After installation completes, it will ask if you want to link your node. Select option 2
2. Enter your node-id

To find your node-id:

• Go to Nexus Nodes (opens in a new tab)
• Click Add Node, then Add CLI Node
• Copy your node-id and paste it in the terminal

5. Manage Your Node Screen#

Minimize the screen:

CTRL + A + D

Return to the screen:

screen -r nexus

Kill the screen:

screen -XS nexus quit
