Install Node on Spheron Network

Spheron Network is a decentralized compute platform. Set up a Worker Node on your VPS to contribute resources to the network.

System Requirements#

ResourceMinimum
RAM8 GB
CPU4 Cores
Disk100 GB

Registration Process#

  1. Register on Spheron Network with your email or GitHub account
  2. Connect your wallet
  3. Click "Register Node Fizz"
  4. Choose your OS, allocate resources, select region, and choose tier
  5. Claim faucet tokens
  6. Download the setup script fizzup.sh to your local machine

Moving fizzup.sh to Your VPS#

On your local machine, review the script:

nano fizzup.sh

Press Ctrl + X, then Y to save, and Enter to exit.

Installation Steps#

1. Install Docker#

Follow the Docker installation guide: Install Docker on Ubuntu VPS (opens in a new tab)

2. Run the Setup Script#

chmod +x /root/fizzup.sh && ./fizzup.sh

Checking Logs#

docker-compose -f ~/.spheron/fizz/docker-compose.yml logs -f
